It was a cloudy day, typical for early fall in the small town of Gilead. The only thing that was out of the ordinary was the strange light persisting in the sky. As the man walked around town, he couldn’t help but notice the strange energy in the air. It felt like there was something waiting for him. Finally, after walking for hours, he found himself at the edge of town, near a river. There, in the middle of the river, he found the portal. As soon as he stepped through, he was transported to another world.
The world he found himself in was completely different from his own. The trees, the flowers, the animals, it all looked so different. He was completely alone, aside from the strange creatures that he saw roaming the land. He had no idea what to do, but he knew he had to find a way back to his own world.
After a few days of searching, he finally found a way back. The journey was difficult, but he finally made it back home. He was so excited to tell his friends and family about his discovery, but he never got the chance. As soon as he stepped through the portal, he disappeared. He never found out what happened to him after he disappeared into the unknown.
