Tom was just about to retire after a long and successful career as a journalist, but on his last day, he gets a call from his editor. They need one more story from him, and it’s just the thing they’ve been looking for. Up until now, all of Tom’s investigations have been within the boundaries of reality. But this time, he’s been given access to a magical portal that leads to another world.
Tom jumps at the chance, and after a few careful preparations, he steps through the portal. He’s in a strange and beautiful place, and as he starts investigating, he discovers that this world is home to a race of creatures that he had never even heard of before. But as he gets closer to finding out more about them, he starts to realize that this world is in danger.
