Doug had always been fascinated by the fantastical stories of wizards and dragons, and when he was younger he had often dreamed of finding a magical portal that would take him to far-off lands. One day, while working in the garden, he happened to look up and saw a strange light emanating from a hole in the ground. Curiosity got the better of him, and he decided to investigate. As he approached the light, he found himself standing in front of a vast portal that led to an unknown place. Excited by his discovery, Doug decided to step through the portal. When he emerged, he found himself in a different world, filled with strange and wondrous creatures. Although at first he was frightened, Doug soon found himself drawn to this new world and never looked back.
