Alvin was just about to retire after a long career as a detective with the police department. He thought about all the cases he solved, the people he helped, and the families he made proud. He had a good life until one day, when he stumbled upon a portal that led to a strange world.
As soon as he arrived, Alvin found himself in the middle of a battle between good and evil. He tried to help the good guys, but it was no use. Suddenly, an old man appeared and told him that he needed to go back to the real world. Alvin couldn’t believe it, but he knew it was true.
He went back through the portal, and when he arrived back in the real world, he found that everything had changed. The police department had disbanded, and Alvin was now alone. But he had learned something important in the magical world: he never wanted to retire again.
