Charles was always a bit of a skeptic, but he was always open to new experiences. So when he was invited to a party by some friends he decided to go. He wasn’t expecting much, but when he arrived he saw that the party was being held in a field outside of town. As he wandered through the field he started to feel a strange energy. He followed the energy until he came to a large, magical portal. When he tried to cross the portal, he found that he couldn’t. He tried to pull away but the portal seemed to be locked on him. As he stood there, he began to feel a sense of peace and calm. He knew that this was something special and he didn’t want to leave. Suddenly, he heard someone calling his name. He turned and saw his friends standing next to the portal. He quickly crossed back to them, glad to have found his way back. He was curious about the portal and wanted to know more about it. His friends were happy to share what they knew about the portal, but warned him that it was best not to visit it too often. Charles was happy to hear that and decided that he would only visit the portal once a year on his birthday.
