Prompt: Write a short story about a man who discovers a magical portal

Randy had always been interested in the occult. He had joined a few different occult groups over the years, but nothing had ever panned out. That is, until he found the portal.
The portal was hidden behind a painting in his uncle’s old house. He had been rummaging through the attic when he found it, and after taking a quick look, he knew he had to take it down.
He removed the painting and found a hidden door. He entered and found himself in a dark, narrow hallway. He tried the first door on the right, but it was locked. The next door was also locked, but he heard a noise from the other side.
He tried the next door, and to his surprise, it opened. He found himself in a small room, and to his left, he saw a door that led outside. He walked over to it and looked out, but he couldn’t see anything beyond the door.
Then he heard the noise from the other side of the door. It sounded like someone was scratching it. He cautiously stepped back and tried the door, but it was still locked. He didn’t have time to screw around, so he quickly walked back to the other side of the door and tried the knob, but it was locked, too.
He was starting to get worried. What if the person on the other side of the door was dangerous? He decided to try the knob one more time. This time, it opened.
He cautiously walked out and found himself in a large chamber. To his right, he saw a door that led outside. He walked over to it and peeked out, but he couldn’t see a thing. He turned to the left and saw a large, magical portal.
He didn’t know what to do. He had never seen anything like it before. He had always been interested in the occult, but this was different. This was magical.
He started to walk towards the portal, but as he got closer, he couldn’t resist it anymore. He reached out and touched it. At first, nothing happened, but then he felt a tingling sensation go through his hand.
He stepped closer and peered through the portal. He saw a beautiful, magical world beyond. He could see a castle in the distance, and in the castle, he saw a woman. She looked so beautiful, and he knew he had to find her.
He started to walk towards the castle, but as he got closer, he started to feel strange. He felt like he was being WATCHED. He turned around and saw the woman from the portal. She was smiling at him, and he knew he had to follow her.
He walked through the portal and into the castle. He found himself in a large room, and the woman was sitting on a throne. She looked so beautiful, and he knew he had to kiss her.
He walked over to her and tried to kiss her, but as he got closer, he started to feel strange again. He felt like he was being pulled in different directions. He tried to fight it, but he couldn’t. He was being pulled into the portal, and he knew he wouldn’t be able to come back.
