Prompt: Write a short story about a man who discovers a magical portal

Tommy had always been fascinated by the world beyond our own, the strange, wondrous places that must lie waiting for anyone brave enough to venture beyond the veil of our everyday lives.
One afternoon, while out on a walk with his dog, Tommy stumbled across a strange looking hole in the ground. When he reached down to pet his dog, something strange happened. His hand passed right through the hole in the ground!
As he looked around him, Tommy realized that he was now in some other realm – a world of green fields, gentle streams and magnificent castles.
Moments later, Tommy found himself before a large, golden door. He hesitated for a moment, then finally decided to go through.
As he walked through the door, he found himself in a vast, opulent chamber. In the center of the chamber stood a huge, stained glass window, through which Tommy could see the sun setting in the distant sky.
Suddenly, the door behind Tommy opened, and a beautiful young woman appeared. She smiled at Tommy and said, “Welcome to my kingdom, my prince.”
Tommy couldn’t believe his luck – he had finally found his way home!
