It was a bright and sunny day, and the man was out hiking in the woods. He had just come across an opening in the forest that led to a vast and mysterious landscape. He was about to step through when he heard a voice from behind him.
“Don’t go through that portal, it’s not safe!”
The man turned to see a small, old woman standing behind him.
“I’m sorry, but I have to go through,” he said.
“Don’t be silly, there’s no way you can survive in that place,” she said.
“I’m sure I can find my way,” he said.
But the woman wouldn’t let him go.
“I just don’t want you to get hurt,” she said.
The man didn’t understand, but he didn’t want to risk it.
“Fine, but I’m coming back for you,” he said.
With that, he stepped through the portal and found himself in the vast and mysterious landscape. He was alone and there was no way of returning home. He had to find his way back or die there.
