Thomas had always been fascinated by the idea of magic. He had seen movies and read books featuring magicians who could do amazing things, like make things appear out of nowhere or disappear people and things.
One day, while cleaning out a storage unit, he happened to find an old book about a magical portal. The book claimed that by using a special key, anyone could open a portal and travel to different worlds.
Thomas was excited at the prospect of discovering new worlds. He hastily gathered the necessary items and headed to his backyard. After making some minor adjustments to the coordinates in the book, he opened the portal.
To his surprise, he found himself in a beautiful world of snow and ice. He walked for hours, exploring the various villages and castles until he finally found the portal that would take him back home. On the way back, he stopped at a small cottage to buy some ice cream, and when he got back to his house, he found that it was gone.
He was puzzled, but he chalked it up to being tired from his trip. The next day, when he tried to open the portal again, it was gone. He started to get worried and decided to call his friends and family to see if they had seen anything suspicious. But when he tried to call them, he found that his phone was dead.
He was panic stricken now. He knew that something was wrong, but he didn’t know what. With the portal now gone and his phone dying, he had no way of contacting anyone.
The next day, he found himself face-to-face with the devil.
