Adam was just about to retire after 40 years of working as a detective in the police department. He told his wife and friends that he planned on spending his retirement exploring every possible portal that might be out there. At the age of 65, he was ready to start his new life.
One day, he was out walking on a nature trail when he came across a strange looking portal. He approached it cautiously, but when he stepped through, he found himself in a world of magic.
He was surrounded by wondrous creatures of all shapes and sizes. The air was scented with flowers and the sun was shining. Adam felt as if he had found his new home.
He wandered through the magical world for hours, exploring every corner. Eventually, he came across a large, beautiful lake. He sat down on the shore and watched the sun set.
Suddenly, he heard a voice calling his name. He turned to see a beautiful woman walking towards him. She said her name was Alice and she was the queen of this magical world.
Adam was astonished by her beauty. He told her how much he had enjoyed his trip to the portal and begged her to let him stay. Alice agreed, but warned him that he would have to leave in a few days.
Adam couldn’t believe his luck. He would be able to stay in this magical world for as long as he wanted. He spent the next few days exploring every inch of it.
On the last day, he said goodbye to Alice and the other creatures of the realm. He was excited to start his new life in the real world, but he knew he would never forget the magical portal that had brought him here.
