Nate had always been a skeptic. He had grown up in a household where magic was strictly forbidden and any chance he ever had of encountering it was quickly squashed. But one day, when he was out exploring an old abandoned mill, he stumbled upon a strange, circular portal. Curiosity got the better of him, and he stepped through.
He found himself in a strange, fantastical world full of elves, giants, and dragons. He followed a pathway through the forest and came to a castle. Inside, he found a group of people who looked like they were waiting for him. When he asked them where he was, they told him he was in the land of Faerie.
Nate was skeptical at first, but after spending a few days in the land of Faerie, he started to believe. He found out that the people in the castle were actually fairies, and that the portal he had stumbled upon led to their world. Now, every day he goes walking through the portal, and he brings a little bit of Faerie with him wherever he goes.
