Response:

Linda awoke to find that her husband had not returned from his afternoon walk. She got up and prepared his breakfast, but something was off. She couldn’t put her finger on it, but there was just something not right. She decided to ask her friend Cathy if she could use her phone for a minute. Cathy told her that she was out, but that she would be back in a few minutes. Linda grabbed her purse and left the house.

She walked down the street, but all she could think about was her husband. She had never felt this way before. She saw a woman walking her dog and asked if she knew where the nearest police station was. The woman told her and Linda walked there.

When she got there, she saw that the police station was closed. She went in to ask if she could use the phone, but the woman told her that the police only had phones for emergencies. Linda was feeling desperate, so she left the police station and started to walk home.

When Linda got home, she found that her husband was gone. She started to cry, but she didn’t know what to do. She started to look through his things, but she couldn’t find anything that would explain why he was gone. She started to call his friends, but nobody had seen him.

Suddenly, Linda saw a phone message from her friend Cathy. Cathy told her that she had seen her husband walking down the street a few minutes ago. Linda was so happy that she finally had an answer to her question. She called the police station and told them what she had found.

The police came and took her husband away. Linda was happy to finally have a resolution to her mystery.
