1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. butter and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
2. In a Stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat butter on medium speed until creamy. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add cocoa powder and beat until well combined.
3. Beat in eggs until well combined. Add vanilla extract and beat until well blended.
4. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Add to butter mixture and mix until just blended. Fold in chocolate chips.
5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
