Prompt: Chocolate cake recipe
Response:

Ingredients:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs, at room temperature
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
12 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted and cooled
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Butter and flour two 9-inch round cake pans, and line the bottoms with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, and mix until well blended.

3. Add the melted chocolate and heavy cream, and mix until well combined. Add the cocoa powder and mix until blended.

4. Pour the batter into the prepared pans, and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centers comes out clean. Let the cake layers cool in the pans for 10 minutes before inverting them onto a wire rack to finish cooling.

5. Once the cake layers are cool, frost them with your favorite frosting.
