Douglas felt his heart beating faster as he stepped through the portal. He had found it by accident, while hiking in the woods. It had taken him a few minutes to convince himself to go through it, but he was now certain that this was something special.
He found himself in a beautiful, pastoral world. The sky was a beautiful orange, and the sun was setting. There was a soft breeze and the trees looked like they were made out of crystals.
He wandered around for a while, taking in the sights and sounds of this new world. Eventually, he found a little clearing and decided to sit down. As he did, he felt a sudden sense of peace and happiness wash over him.
He didn’t know how long he sat there, just enjoying the peace and serenity of the moment, but eventually he started to get hungry. He didn’t know what kind of food this world had, but he was sure that he could find something to eat.
He got up and started walking, but he soon found himself in front of another portal. This one looked different than the one he had come through. It was black and seemed to be in a cave.
He had been debating for a while now about what to do. He had seen people walk through the black portal and never come back, but he also didn’t want to be the one to disappear.
In the end, he decided that he would step through the black portal and see what happened. He wasn’t sure if he would come back, but at least he would know.
As he stepped through, he felt a sense of dread wash over him. He could hear the sound of screams coming from the other side, and he knew that he was about to enter a world of pain and suffering.
