It was the middle of the night and there was a loud banging on his front door. John lit a candle and went to answer it. When he opened the door, he saw a woman with a suitcase in hand.
“Can I help you with that?” he asked.
“Yes, I’m looking for a portal,” she replied.
“What do you mean?” John asked.
“I was told by a friend that there is a portal hidden in this town that can take me to any place in the world I want to go.”
John was skeptical, but he figured he could always Google it if it turned out to be a scam. He showed her to the livable room and asked if she needed anything else.
The next day, John woke up early and went to the kitchen to make some coffee. As he was pouring a cup of coffee, he heard a loud knock on the door.
When he opened the door, he found the woman from the night before.
“Hey, I’m sorry for showing up last night like that,” she said.
“No problem, I’m glad you’re here. I think I might have found the portal.”
John showed her to the living room and they both sat down on the couch.
“Just close your eyes and picture your destination,” he said.
The woman closed her eyes and within seconds, she was in a beautiful city in Europe. When she opened her eyes, she was in front of the Eiffel Tower.
“Wow, this is amazing!” she exclaimed.
“This is just the beginning. There are other portals all over the world that you can explore.”
John was thrilled that he had found this portal and he was excited to show it to his friends.
