Prompt: Write a short story about a man who discovers a magical portal

I was just sitting in my chair, minding my own business, when I noticed something strange. I could see a portal opening up in the corner of my screen, and before I knew it, I was standing in front of it.
The portal was shimmering and luminescent, and when I got closer, I could see that it was made out of some kind of light. I stepped through, and seconds later, I was standing in some kind of mystical forest.
I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was in some kind of magical place, and I had no idea how I had gotten there. I wandered around for a while, taking in the sights and sounds of the forest.
Suddenly, I heard someone calling my name. I turned around, and there was a woman standing in front of me. She had light brown hair, bright green eyes, and she looked like she was in her early twenties.
She looked quite surprised to see me, and she asked me what I was doing there. I told her that I had been sitting in my chair, and suddenly, the portal had opened up and I had been transported here.
She seemed to think about what I had said for a moment, and then she said that she could probably help me get back home. She led me through the forest, and a few minutes later, we emerged back outside the portal.
She told me that the portal was called the Gateway, and that it was a place where people could go to explore different parts of the world. She said that it was a gateway to different dimensions, and that it could be a great way to learn more about the world around you.
I thanked her for her help, and then I walked back home. I was shocked that I had been able to travel to a magical place like the Gateway, and I plan on visiting it again soon.
