Tommy’s latest job interview landed him the position of assistant manager at the local video store. The only catch was that he had to move away from his family and friends. A month before his move, Tommy discovered a portal in his backyard. Through it, he was able to travel to different worlds, and he was intrigued by the job offer. He was worried that he wouldn’t be able to handle the commute, but he was also excited to discover new places.
The first day on the job, Tommy went to the store to meet his new boss. She explained that he would be working as the assistant manager, and that he would be responsible for helping to stock the shelves, managing the budget, and helping customers find what they were looking for. That night, Tommy discovered that the portal was also able to take him to different parts of the world. He was able to visit a beautiful beach, explore a city by night, and even go skiing in the Swiss Alps.
Although the job was amazing, Tommy missed his family and friends. One day, he decided to take a break from work and go home. When he arrived, he found that the portal had taken him to a different world. There, he found himself in a fantastical forest, and he was able to spend the day exploring the trees, lakes, and streams. He was so happy to be back home, and he vowed to never leave the portal again.
