Brooks had always been a skeptic when it came to magic and otherworldly creatures. He had seen enough horror movies and stories to last a lifetime and wanted nothing to do with such nonsense. But one day, while out walking, Brooks stumbled upon a mysterious portal. As he stepped through, he found himself in a wondrous world of elves, fairies, and dragons. Brooks was completely taken aback by everything he saw and felt his skepticism quickly melting away. Suddenly, Brooks realized that this was the real world and the portal was only a figment of his imagination. He was so happy to have discovered this new place and felt a sudden kinship with the creatures he had once feared.
