John had always been a skeptical man. He had seen too many movies and TV shows where people got away with crazy things because they found a magical portal. So when he stumbled on a mysterious portal while hiking one day, he was definitely skeptical. But before he could even think about it any further, the portal whisked him away. John found himself in a strange land filled with towering trees and flowing water. He could hear the sound of rushing water in his ears, and it was so calming. John was so enchanted by this place that he didn’t want to leave. But before he knew it, the portal had closed and he was back in the real world. John had never been so grateful for his skepticism.
