Derek walked into the dark room, wondering what oddity the professor could find to keep him occupied this semester. As he entered, he noticed a faint light coming from the corner of the room. He walked over to investigate and found a large hole in the floor, leading down into the bowels of the earth. This must be it, he thought as he stepped forward. He paused, realizing that he had never been this deep underground before. He started to walk further into the dark tunnel, when he heard a loud screeching noise. He turned around and saw a giant creature coming towards him, its razor sharp claws ready to strike.
